Serena Williams did play the 2026 U.S. Open, partnering Venus in women's doubles; they lost their first-round match in a match tiebreaker around September 4, 2026. LeBron James did not join the Warriors: after leaving the Lakers, he agreed in late July 2026 to a two-year, $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, so only one leg of the parlay came true.
